Four Seasons Haiku
Rain, softly falling
The grass greens and the trees bud
All coming alive.
Fourth of July fun
Brilliant fireworks light the sky
"Ooh" and "aah", say all.
Trees turn to colour
Leaves gently fall to the ground.
Let's to the orchard!
Snowball fights galore
Calvin and Hobbes are at it.
Hot chocolate awaits!
The grass greens and the trees bud
All coming alive.
Fourth of July fun
Brilliant fireworks light the sky
"Ooh" and "aah", say all.
Trees turn to colour
Leaves gently fall to the ground.
Let's to the orchard!
Snowball fights galore
Calvin and Hobbes are at it.
Hot chocolate awaits!

Hedgehog Poem
We hedgehogs are not friendly animals.
Maybe it's the spines,
or the fact that we spend all day
asleep under scraps of cloth.
Don't bother me when I'm sleeping,
because I'll hiss at you.
I might even lower my spines
and charge.
And if you try to hold me,
or I'll curl up into a ball
pointy side out.
Do hedgehogs ever poke themselves, you ask?
Not often, but when we do, it hurts.
Maybe it's the spines,
or the fact that we spend all day
asleep under scraps of cloth.
Don't bother me when I'm sleeping,
because I'll hiss at you.
I might even lower my spines
and charge.
And if you try to hold me,
or I'll curl up into a ball
pointy side out.
Do hedgehogs ever poke themselves, you ask?
Not often, but when we do, it hurts.
